Association for Nature, Environment and Sustainable Development Sunce opens
a tender for the members of the Association Supervisory Committee

The duration of the tender: 6 – 15 March 2024

PURPOSE OF THE TENDER:

Association Sunce announces a public tender to select new members of the Supervisory Committee. The competition is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Statute. The Statute can be found HERE.

Members will be selected in order to contribute to organizational development of the Association, provide an efficient and transparent management, and contribute in achieving the vision and strategic goals of the Association.

In accordance with the principles of good governance in civil society organizations, work of the members of the Supervisory Committee is voluntary (non-paid position).

CONDITIONS:

– VSS (higher education)
– Minimum 5 years of working experience
– Knowledge of English and Croatian language
– Computer skills

Candidates will be informed about the results of the tender via e-mail. Only short-listed candidates will be interviewed. The Executive Board of the Association Sunce is responsible for the first selection of candidates and presenting candidates to the Assembly to vote on the proposed candidates, as stated in the Statute.

DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS:

The Supervisory Committee is the highest body supervising the management and work of the Executive Board between two sessions of the Assembly.

In accordance with Article 53 of the Statute, the Supervisory Committee is responsible for the following tasks:

  • supervises and monitors the work of the Executive Board, the Executive Director, the financial and material operations of Sunce, takes care of compliance with the law, the Statute, the decisions of the Assembly and other municipal acts of Sunce, and warns the Assembly of irregularities,
  • implements other decisions of the Assembly,
  • gives an opinion on the Strategic Plan, other plans and programs and reports on work and financial operations,
  • gives an opinion and advises the Executive Board on matters of improving the influence, visibility and reputation of the Association, program activities of the Association, leadership and management, fundraising, human resources development, establishment of partnerships,
  • supervises the implementation of the strategic and operational plan and the financial plan,
  • submits a report on its work to the Assembly,
  • evaluates the work of the Executive Director.

The Supervisory Committee is elected for a term of 4 years.
Sessions of the Supervisory Committee are held as needed, at least 3 times a year.
The work of the Supervisory Committee is voluntary, with reimbursement of travel expenses for the purposes of attending the meetings of the Supervisory Committee.

The work of the Supervisory Committee is managed by the coordinator of the Supervisory Committee.
The Coordinator of the Supervisory Committee is elected by the Supervisory Committee among its members for a term of 4 years.
