As part of the service ” Monitoring of the seagrass Posidonia oceanica in the area of the Telašćica Nature Park“, Sunce Association will conduct the seventh consecutive monitoring of the state of the Posidonia meadows. Such measurements are extremely important for the implementation of the necessary conservation measures, as they enable the monitoring of their effectiveness in protecting this extremely important habitat.

Posidonia oceanica is a marine flowering plant endemic to the Mediterranean Sea. Posidonia meadows are the most important ecosystem in the Mediterranean. Despite their widespread distribution, they are threatened by numerous human activities, and the greatest pressure is caused by anchoring and nautical tourism.
