Sunce holds communication training for PA-s

“Communication is crucial. It can never be too much. “

(Jack Rowel)

Aware of the importance of communication and continuous progress, organized by the Sunce Association, and within the SEA-MED project, last month, three-day communication training was held for marine protected areas employees.

Thus on the Split ground, under the guidance of experienced WWF Adria trainer Petra Boić Petrač and Martina Šubašić, they learned about the development of communication strategies for protected areas as well as for specific projects implemented by the institutions. Good communication within the institutions is fundamental, followed by successful communication with the local population – could be heard in presentations by Maja Bizjak Maretti from the National Park Brijuni and Lidija Brnović from the Dinaridi Parks based in Podgorica.

In communication training, special attention was devoted to public performances, media releases, conference organization, crisis communication and social network management. Along with the workshops, better insight into the journalistic world and ways of communicating with the media in short presentation and a relaxed conversation was shared by Vedrana Krstić Ivanišević, an experienced HRT journalist.

All the participants rated the training and the lecturers with excellent grades along with the desire for more common work, exchange of experiences and cooperation!
