
A two day Conference, AdriaPAN in Europe, was held in San Benedettu del Tronto, Italy starting on January 31. This international meeting was organized by Adriatic Network of Protected Areas – AdriaPAN in the framework of Re.SCWe i PANforAMaR projects. Goal of the meeting was to discuss key questions on management and conservation of coastal ecosystems, development of sustainable tourism in protected areas and cooperation in the upcoming EU funding opportunities.
More than 150 representatives from all Adriatic countries participated, while Croatian side was represented by National Park Brijuni and Association Sunce.
The aim of the AdriaPAN network is to make contacts between Protected Areas in the Adriatic easier, to improve their partnership effectiveness, both in management and planning activities.
AdriaPAN is a growing network with a great potential for joining efforts in environmental protection and sustainable development with 39 members and 30 partner organization. |
