Semi-annual report on the work of the Green Telephone

Our Green phone line rang 134 times in the first half of 2019, i.e. 26 times more than last year in the same period.

Of the 134 applications received, 97 have been resolved so far, while the rest of the received applications are in the resolution process, which will continue in the second half of the year. During this period, the cases from 2018 continued to be resolved intensively.

Traditionally, at the top of the list are calls related to waste and illegal construction, which make up more than sixty percent of the received reports. Accordingly, the focus of Green Phone’s work in 2019 is again on these two categories.

Also, there was an increase in the number of calls in the “greenery” category, which shows a higher level of awareness among our fellow citizens about the importance of greenery for our environment and the sustainable development of the city.

Green Phone continues its work in the summer season, and we will inform you about the overall results for 2019 at the beginning of next year. We are happy that in this period our Green Phone project was co-financed by the funds of the County of Split-Dalmatia and the C&A Foundation, and we hope to cooperate with these donors in the rest of 2019.
