The stone kiosk of the Marjan Society next to the Marjan Hill first lookout point (Prva Vidilica), built in 1958, received a new look this Saturday. Our volunteers (students and teachers of High School Braća Radić, Vocational Technical School and the School of Design, Graphics and Sustainable Construction) put their hands to work and started sanding, painting and varnishing to prepare this work space in the most beautiful location in Split.
Namely, this kiosk will soon serve as an exhibition and sales space for the products of student cooperatives of these three schools. Moreover, as part of the project Sustainable Student Enterprises in Croatian Secondary Schools – Green Enterprises Promote Sustainable Entrepreneurial Thinking and Action of Young People in Croatia, as we have already informed, students produced a joint product – vegan pašticada A ‘La Pašticada, made from garden ingredients of Secondary School Braća Radić from Kaštel Štafilić. Pašticada will soon be available at the kiosk on Marjan.
In just a few hours of work, we managed to complete everything that was planned by the volunteer action and, most importantly, we had a good time.
Special thanks to the sponsors for the material donation, Bauhaus and MARK 2!
The project, which envisages the renovation of the kiosk, is funded by the Ministry of Science and Education and co-financed by the German Federal Foundation for the Environment (Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt – DBU).
