The traditional “Luka igara” Fair took place at the Kamenjak viewpoint,
in the Nature park Vransko jezero, on September 24 and 25, 2022.
Educational activities
This year we were lucky enough to participate in educational activities on the topic of waste reduction with an emphasis on plastic. With the visitors, we made wax models and played games such as memory, time of decomposition of objects in nature and sorting waste for the youngest. The older ones participated at the quiz and won valuable prizes.
Workshops
Other workshops included making vegetable spreads, cheeses and cocoa, as well as making plasticine and kinetic sand. It all started with the music of the members of Cultural and artistic society Sveti Ante from Drago, and it was the first time for us to attend the tug-of-war (members of the Škabrnja Rope Pullers Association).
Lake without plastic
All activities took place as part of the Plastic-Free Lake project, which is co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
As part of the Fair, one could find plenty of local agricultural products, all with the aim of connecting the Nature Park with local family farms as well as promoting the cultural heritage of the area. The fair was visited by children, local and foreign visitors.
The fair took place as a plastic-free event, under the motto Lake without plastic, so exhibitors and customers were provided with paper or cloth bags.
