
The last workshop as part of the service Increasing specific knowledge and available information about waste management, the use of single-use plastics and the degree of plastic pollution, and the creation of a legal framework within Nature Park Vransko jezero was held on December 16 in the premises of the Vransko Lake Nature Park in Biograd.
With the service, Sunce promoted the possibilities of reducing waste generation and reuse, the importance of proper waste separation and disposal, and strongly advocated the active involvement of all stakeholders in decision-making related to waste management.

Guidelines on limiting the use of single-use plastics around NP Vransko Lake
At the workshop, we passed the draft guidelines on limiting the use of single-use plastics in the area of NP Vransko Lake. With this, the guidelines have been finalized and the document will be presented to stakeholders operating in the area of NP Vransko Lake in the next year.

Workshop Communication through storytelling: Communication of guidelines on limiting the use of single use plastics.
On the same day, Sunce also held an educational workshop on the topic of Communication of guidelines on limiting the use of single-use plastics. This workshop aimed to educate the employees of NP Vransko lake and encourage them to think about adequate ways of communicating the adopted guidelines on limiting the use of single-use plastics. The education consisted of two parts. In the first part, we touched on the elements of storytelling and creating a clear and concise message. In the second part, through participatory and practical work, we educated the audience about communication plans and provided the basics of public speaking.

Swap fair in NP Vransko lake
Finally, the Swap Fair was organized. In addition to the exchange of used items, the visitors also participated in a beeswax wraps workshop. They could take the made beeswax wraps to replace the plastic film in their household with a natural, ecological, and biodegradable version.
We would like to remind you that the service is provided for the Public Institution Nature Park “Vransko Lake” as part of the Plastic Free Zone – “Lake without Plastic” project, financed by the The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. An important role in the project is providing the information, promotional actions and education about limiting the use of single-use plastic products, the harmfulness of plastic in nature, and the possibility of reducing plastic in everyday use.
