The final conference of the project “VOLUNTEER FOR NATURE, VOLUNTEER FOR YOURSELF! – school volunteer programs in protected areas of nature”
Implementation of the ,,VOLUNTEER FOR NATURE, VOLUNTEER FOR YOURSELF!“ project started in September 2017 and ended with a two-day conference held on 11th and 12th of June 2019 on Faculty of Economics in Split.

The conference brought together national and foreign experts in the field of nature, environment and education, as well as some project volunteers. The participants were introduced to the practice of volunteering in protected nature areas in Netherlands, Macedonia, and Croatia.
The successes of the project were presented, such as 16 info-workshops for 371 participants, 18 educational workshops for 88 participants, and a total of 4 volunteer actions with 70 volunteers, and mentors and teachers in Krka National Park, Biokovo Nature Park, Vrana Lake Nature Park and Telašćica Nature Park.
One of the successes of the project is the “Handbook for the development of school volunteering in protected areas of nature – “VOLUNTEER FOR NATURE, VOLUNTEER FOR YOURSELF” created to promote volunteering in nature, through which young people can gain experience of better understanding of nature and developing a responsible attitude towards nature and environment.
