Through years of dedication, persistence and systematic work on projects and programs, the Sunce Association, along with its partners, in 2007 succeeded in efforts to proclaim Lastovo Islands to park of nature. For this contribution in preservation of natural heritage and environment, among other things, in 2008, the Sunce Association received the WWF – World Wide Fund for Nature Wildlife Conservation Award.

Apart from the fact that the Sunce Association worked hard on these efforts, after the national proclamation, along with the Public Institution “Nature Park Lastovo Islands” and other partners, Sunce continued to carry out significant projects in this area. The SEA-Med project is one such project.
