In Tivat, Montenegro, from July 18-22, 2016, a five-day GIS training (Geographic Information System) was held. Training is organized within the project 4M – “Karting, monitoring and management of cross-border Natura 2000 network at sea” for 10 participants.
The Sunce Association, as part of the 4M project, cooperates with the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Values of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and its Montenegrin partners, the Green Home Environmental Association and the Agency for the Protection of the Environment of Montenegro, on numerous activities related to the improvement of the management of marine resources in the cross-border area of Croatia Montenegro (Cavtat – Prevlaka, CRO and Arza – Platamuni, MN).
During the training, the facilitator, Martina Baučić, informed the participants about the basics of GIS, its application, methods for processing and input of data and ways of entering the collected information.
Saved skills will be used after dive sites have been entered and information collected.
