With today’s day – the last school day, this year we completed 3 educational programs of Composting that we conducted in cooperation with schools Mejaši, Pujanke and Trilj. In total, 45 pupils and students participated in the program together with teachers Josip Banić and Dubravka Tkalčec (Mejaši), Mila Bulic (Pujanki) and Ivana Marić Zerdun (Trilj). Altogether, 18 workshops were organized, 3 composting sites were created in schools and we all celebrated the final gathering and awarding diplomas to all the participants.

The Educational Program “Composting” is being implemented as one of the activities of the “Participate in Sustainable Development” project, which started in May 2013 and lasts until April 2015. Partner of the Sunce Association is a German organization Deutsche Gesellschaft für Umwelterziehung (DGU), and the donor is the German foundation Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). In the school year 2013/2014. the project is co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport. Also, implementation of the “Composting” education program in the school year 2014/2015. is also supported by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
