On World Wetlands Day, we highlight the importance of protecting and restoring these valuable ecosystems, including Croatian wetlands such as Kopa\u010dki Rit, Lonjsko Polje, and the Neretva Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>February 3 \u2013 Swap Fair<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/swap-fair-wanna-trade\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/swap-fair-wanna-trade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Swap Fair<\/a> is a monthly event organized by the Sunce Association at Klub Zona. It takes place on the <strong>first Tuesday of every month<\/strong> from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and aims to encourage citizens to adopt more sustainable lifestyles, reduce waste, and consume more responsibly. The 18th edition of the event will take place from<strong>March 26 to 29, 2026, at Marina Ka\u0161tela in Ka\u0161tel Gomilica<\/strong>. The Sunce stand will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., where visitors can learn about our <strong>Adriatic Sea conservation activities<\/strong>, including anchoring education, STEM experiments, and a panel discussion on one of the growing challenges at sea\u2014<strong>wastewater from vessels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>March 28 \u2013 Earth Hour<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>By switching off lights for one hour, we send a message about the importance of protecting our planet and using resources responsibly. Earth Hour reminds us that even small changes in our daily habits can have a significant impact on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>March 30 \u2013 International Day of Zero Waste<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Instead of the traditional \u201ctake\u2013use\u2013dispose\u201d model, the circular economy promotes waste reduction, resource conservation, and creating value from what we already have. Over the course of two days, participants will learn how to use citizen science tools to record observations at sea, identify invasive species, and monitor seagrass meadows and other changes in the marine environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside engaging lectures, practical examples, and networking opportunities, participation in the training is free of charge with prior registration by <strong>May 5, 2026<\/strong>.
