When night falls on Friday, September 26, the Great Revelin in Kor\u010dula <\/strong>will turn into a canvas upon which the sea and its hidden guardian \u2013 the Posidonia oceanica<\/em> \u2013 will speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come to the light show of Sunce<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a successful premiere on Hvar<\/a>, the same story arrives in Kor\u010dula. From 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM<\/strong>, visitors will be able to enjoy a unique light show that unites art, science, and emotion. The projection presents a conversation between a sailor and Posidonia \u2013 a seagrass that, though invisible to the eye, plays a crucial role in preserving the Adriatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We gave Posidonia a voice and a face to help people understand its importance. It produces oxygen, stores CO\u2082, stabilizes the seabed, and provides shelter for numerous marine species. For thousands of years, it has shaped our sea, nurtured it, and protected it. To preserve Posidonia means to preserve the sea<\/strong> and the way of life along the coast, \u2013 say representatives from Sunce<\/strong>, the main organizer of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And where do you anchor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Often unseen and underestimated, Posidonia<\/em> takes center stage in the projection \u2013 her voice reaching out to people, especially sailors, inviting them to pause and rethink their ways. For anchoring in her meadows is one of the main reasons they are vanishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013\u00a0Posidonia grows very slowly, from 0.4 to 6 cm per year, and once the meadows are destroyed, their recovery takes a very long time. Because of its ecological importance and sensitivity, it is protected by law in Croatia, something many people are unaware of. We hope this event will inspire sailors and all sea lovers to truly ask themselves next time: \u2018And where do I anchor?<\/a><\/em>‘ \u2013 emphasize the team from Sunce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The projection\u2019s author, Tomislav Br\u0111anovi\u0107, noted that the entire creative process was a challenge, as this is the first AI-generated film of its kind in Croatia<\/strong>. Through months of experimentation and development, the project ultimately opened up entirely new possibilities for promoting marine conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the visual experience, visitors will be able to explore Sunce\u2019s booths<\/strong>, learn about the organization\u2019s work, and find out how they can contribute to marine protection \u2013 through volunteering<\/a>, membership<\/a>, or donations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For an extra touch of fun and inspiration, there will also be a Posidonia-themed photo corner<\/strong>. Those who take a photo, post it as a story, and tag Sunce will have a chance to win symbolic, sea-inspired prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is part of the Interreg BIOPRESSADRIA project<\/strong>, through which Sunce and its partners from Croatia and Italy are developing strategies to reduce the negative impact of tourism on coastal and marine biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
