Are you passionate about protecting our planet and promoting climate resilience? DesirMED<\/a> is looking for 100 individuals<\/strong> with different profiles and backgrounds to share their stories and contribute to make the Mediterranean more climate resilient. Will you be one of them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is DesirMED Ambassador and why should you participate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DesirMED <\/strong>is project funded by the European Union trough HORIZON Europe program. It is set up to help people in the Mediterranean regions adapt to climate change. DesirMED Climate Ambassadors<\/strong> are citizens and professionals from the Mediterranean who are eager to share their everyday experience with climate change and their ideas and actions to adapt to its impact. We would like to help other citizens understand the implications of climate change and the role that each one of us can play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your story and experiences can inspire others to take action!<\/strong> Have you thought of a solution to tackle a climate challenge in your area or community? Are you already applying a practice to adapt to climate change? Whether it’s mobilising to plant trees, protect the dunes in your local beach, restore a small wetland, help your community after a fire or a flood, or even make small changes like rainwater harvesting or building a school garden… Your story could highlight challenges you\u2019ve faced, lessons you\u2019ve learned, or the impact your actions have had. Share it among our big DesirMED community!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an ambassador, you will be supporting our movement for transformative climate adaptation by spreading the word in your community, and you\u2019ll have the opportunity to connect with other Ambassadors and participate in DesirMED\u2019s and other European initiatives around climate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can you become a Climate Ambassador?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DesirMED Climate Ambassadors can contribute in two stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Share your story to be featured in the \u201c<\/strong>Climate Adaptation Diaries<\/strong><\/a>\u201d<\/strong> series on DesirMED\u2019s website and partner channels. It can be in any format you\u2019d like (written blogs or interviews, videos, photos and image cards, podcast) and you can submit it via our dedicated form (scroll below).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Join DesirMED\u2019s events and activities<\/strong>, for example in the Adaptation Exhibitions and Festivals, regional hackathons, etc. Your participation could range from simple attendance to supporting the programme or organization, or presenting a project or initiative you are involved in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
