Sunce Association in cooperation with Utility Company \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o<\/strong><\/a>. from Split, organizes the marking of Earth Day 2016<\/strong>. Traditionally in primary, and this year in high schools, a competition will be organized for the best class project related to the topic of waste and the principles of responsible waste management – reduce, reuse and recycle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The contest “Before and After – Pupils for Earth Day 2016”<\/strong> is conducted in the area of Split and its surrounding and is divided into three categories: for students from 1st to 4th grade, 5th to 8th grade and from 1 to 4th grade of high school.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the period from 1 February to 30 March 2016<\/strong>, pupils guided by the classmates\/teachers should devise a class project through which they will promote responsible waste management and the principles of reducing, reusing and recycling and thus changing the environment for the better.<\/p>\n

Each class project needs to be photographed – how it looks after a pupil’s project and what it looked like before.<\/p>\n

The schools participating in the competition will be visited by volunteers and educators of the Sunce and will be introduced to their projects. Also, they need to submit their materials (work, photography, video, presentation, etc.). with information about the name of the class project, school and class.<\/p>\n

Representatives of the Sunce Association and \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o.<\/strong> will make a decision about winning projects.<\/p>\n

When evaluating projects, the following criteria will be considered:<\/p>\n

– contributing to the promotion and implementation of the principles: reduce, reuse, recycle,
\n– interestingness, Innovation of the Project,
\n– presentation of the project,
\n– the connection with the Earth Day,
\n– contribution to environmental protection in general.
\nAll class projects will be presented at a ceremony at \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o. – Split, and the date of the ceremony will be notified later.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first-placed classes from all three categories will be awarded a Green Trip<\/a> by their own choice<\/strong>. The second class will be rewarded with a Green Trip in the area where the school is located, while all other schools and classes will be rewarded for participating in a gift.<\/p>\n
