{"id":2375,"date":"2015-03-03T13:15:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-03T13:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sunce.itlaganini.org\/en\/earth-day-2015\/"},"modified":"2018-01-02T09:00:44","modified_gmt":"2018-01-02T09:00:44","slug":"earth-day-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/earth-day-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Earth Day 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sunce Association in cooperation with Utility Company<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cistoca-split.hr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o.<\/a> from Split, organizes the <strong>Earth Day 2015 celebration<\/strong>. In the same way as in the past years, in the <strong>primary schools<\/strong> in the area of Split and the surrounding areas, a competition is organized for the best class project related to waste topics and the principles of responsible waste management to reduce, reuse and recycle.<\/p>\n<p>The competition is being conducted under the name &#8220;Before and After &#8211; Students for Earth Day 2015&#8221;. It is divided into two categories for students from 1st to <strong>4th grade<\/strong> and students from <strong>5th to 8th grade<\/strong>, with the aim of raising the level of awareness about the problem of waste in the environment, and promoting the principles of responsible waste management.<\/p>\n<p>Within the competition, <strong>in the period up to April 1, 2015<\/strong>, pupils under the guidance of the classmates\/teachers should devise a class project through which they will promote responsible waste management and reduce, reuse and recycle principles and thereby change the environment to the better.<\/p>\n<p>Each class project needs to be perpetuated with photographs how it looks after a pupil&#8217;s project, and how it looked like before.<\/p>\n<p>After Wednesday, <strong>April 1, 2015<\/strong>, in attended schools, volunteers will be organized by the Sunce&#8217;s educator, where students will be able to present the project and submit project materials (photography, video, presentation, etc.) with information about the name of the class project, school, and class.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the Sunce Association and \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o. will make a decision about winning projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When evaluating projects, the following criteria will be considered:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>the contribution of promotion and implementation of the principles reduce, reuse and recycle,<br \/>\ninterestingness, innovation of project idea,<br \/>\nproject presentation,<br \/>\nthe connection with the Earth&#8217;s Day,<br \/>\ncontribution to environmental protection in general.<br \/>\nAll class projects will be presented at <strong>a ceremony at \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o.<\/strong> &#8211; Split, and the date of the ceremony will be notified later.<\/p>\n<p>The first-placed classes from both categories will be rewarded with a <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/blog\/2013\/07\/zeleni-izleti-mali-koraci-za-odrzivo-drustvo?lang=hr\">Green Trip <\/a>organized by the Sunce Association according to their own choice.<\/p>\n<p>The second place will be rewarded with a Green Trip in the area where the school is located, while all other schools and classes will be rewarded for participating with a gift.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in participating in the competition and in this way you want to contribute to marking Earth Day 2015, fill in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-admin\/files\/download\/864\">application form<\/a> and send it to e-mail: <a href=\"mailto:info@sunce-st.org\">info@sunce-st.org<\/a> until <strong>Monday 09 March 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunce Association in cooperation with Utility Company \u010cisto\u0107a d.o.o. from Split, organizes the Earth Day [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":266,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2375","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2375","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2375"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/2375\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/266"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2375"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=2375"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=2375"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
