The last workshop was part of the designing and implementing an educational program for stakeholders and expert assistance in making Decision on reducing the use of single-use plastics within the significant landscape of the Cetina River Canyon, as part of the project \u201cSignificant Landscape Cetina River Canyon Plastic Free Zone\u201d<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> and was held on December 9th at the Center for visitors “Hidden Dalmatia” in Dugopolje.<\/p>\n\n\n

Education in environmentally responsible business Green Office<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the workshop, we facilitated the Green Office<\/strong><\/a> educational program, a service designed to promote environmentally responsible practices within businesses. The educational session comprised two essential parts. In the initial segment, participants were introduced to various green measures categorized into areas crucial for preserving the environment: energy, water, waste, procurement, and transport. Moving into the second part, the workshop took on a participative and hands-on approach, fostering the creation of an action plan for implementing selected environmentally responsible measures. Employees actively engaged in evaluating the current environmental footprint of their business, identifying areas for improvement, and collaboratively strategizing ways to introduce positive changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary goal of this workshop was to inspire businesses to adopt more eco-friendly practices and, concurrently, encourage individuals to think sustainably about their actions in their day-to-day lives<\/strong>. By providing practical insights and fostering a participatory environment, we aimed to instigate a positive shift towards greener and more responsible business operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision to stop using single-use plastics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to educating about green office practices, with the employees, we went through the Decision on reducing the use of single-use plastics<\/strong> in the Cetina River Canyon area<\/strong> draft and measures that are included in the Decision. By collaboratively reviewing and discussing the contents of the Decision, we aimed to gather valuable insights and perspectives from the workshop participants. With this, the Decision is finalized and the document will be presented to stakeholders operating in the area of the Cetina River Canyon in the next year.<\/p>\n\n\n
