At the idyllic location of MEDILS, on November 17, a workshop “Ways of cooperation of different sectors and connection with the community” was held with the aim of encouraging cooperation of representatives of the civil sector, public institutions for the management of protected areas and educational institutions, based on the example of the educational activities of LIFE Artina – Network for the conservation of seabirds in the Adriatic.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ways of cooperation of different sectors and connection with the community<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was arranged in a hybrid edition for the first part of the workshop (online and live), while the second part could only be followed live. A total of 39 participants took part in the workshop, of which 29 participants live and 10 participants online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the introductory part, the head of the Education and Information Department<\/a>, Margita Radman<\/strong>, presented the Sunce association and how the idea of developing a workshop on this topic came about. Maja Golem<\/strong>, an expert associate educator, presented the Seabird Educational Program<\/em> designed and then adapted for various ages: kindergarten children and primary school student classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lina Vuleti\u0107<\/strong>, project associate and volunteer coordinator, presented the results of the Ivo Pilar Institute’s research obtained through the LIFE project, as well as the research results obtained through the VOLI <\/a>project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooperation of public institutions for the management of protected areas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the representatives of the BIOM association, PP Lastovsko oto\u010dje and Primary School Blato, Kor\u010dula, we also got a first insight into the benefits and challenges of cooperation with different sectors. The representatives of PP Tela\u0161\u010dica and PP Vransko Lake included an overview of the different ways of cooperation of public institutions for the management of protected areas, and representatives of educational institutions, more specifically the Vocational Technical School and the Faculty of Chemical Technology from Split, the experiences of the sector, as well as the possibilities and wishes for cooperation in of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How civil society organizations cooperated with other sectors?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We learned how civil society organizations cooperated with other sectors from the representatives of Permakultura Dalmacija<\/strong> and Info Zona<\/strong>. Through joint work, we identified opportunities for further cooperation. We implemented the participatory activity of World Caf\u00e9.<\/em> You can find a detailed description of the activity, as well as an overview of some other participatory ways of working in Croatian at the link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The on-site evaluation showed all participants were extremely satisfied with the content of the workshop<\/em>, the organization of the workshop<\/em>, professional development<\/em>, information on opportunities for cooperation<\/em>, motivation for cooperation with other sectors<\/em> and lastly, no less important, with the<\/em> atmosphere at the workshop<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
