{"id":18402,"date":"2022-10-21T14:16:57","date_gmt":"2022-10-21T12:16:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/?p=18402"},"modified":"2023-01-24T12:01:00","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T11:01:00","slug":"what-did-we-listen-to-in-the-radio-show-together-without-plastic-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/what-did-we-listen-to-in-the-radio-show-together-without-plastic-this-year\/","title":{"rendered":"What did we listen to in the radio show Together without plastic this year?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The radio show <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/sunce-association-launches-a-national-campaign-to-reduce-pollution-with-disposable-plastic\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/sunce-association-launches-a-national-campaign-to-reduce-pollution-with-disposable-plastic\/\" target=\"_blank\">Together without plastic<\/a>, in which Sunce employees talk about projects and activities important for reducing the pollution of the Adriatic Sea with single-use plastics, is broadcasting since September 2021 on the Radio Sunce frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2022, we recorded the twelfth and last episode of the show <strong>Together without plastic<\/strong>. In 2021, we recorded four shows, and you can read what we talked about then in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/projekti\/plastic-smart-cities-croatia\/zajedno-bez-plastike-radijska-emisija\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HERE<\/a>, and in 2022, eight shows were recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January, in the first show of the year, <strong>Tea Kuzmi\u010di\u0107-Rosandi\u0107<\/strong> together with <strong>Mihael Gamulin<\/strong>, Manager of operational and technical affairs at K<strong>omunalno d.o.o. There is more and more evidence that floating plastic debris make up less than 1% of plastic in the ocean, while the vast majority sinks to the bottom of the sea, polluting the ecosystems of seagrasses &#8211; posidonia. Posidonia oceanica meadows are oxygen factories and carbon dioxide stores, which is why they directly affect the climate crisis. Sunce has been involved in the protection of posidonia for many years, and through the <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/saspas-safe-anchoring-and-seagrass-protection-in-the-adriatic-sea\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/saspas-safe-anchoring-and-seagrass-protection-in-the-adriatic-sea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SASPAS <\/a>project, we aimed to preserve and restore seagrass through laying safe anchorages, performing pilot transplantations, monitoring and defining an integrated management system for seagrasses in the Adriatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/02-2022.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/02-2022.jpg 800w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/02-2022-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/02-2022-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/02-2022-500x500.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In March, Sunce project manager <strong>Tea Kuzmi\u010di\u0107-Rosandi\u0107<\/strong> and Dr. <strong>Pero Tutman<\/strong> from the <strong>Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries<\/strong> talked about marine litter, monitoring marine litter, and cooperation between the scientific community and civil society organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" src=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022-1024x766.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022-401x300.jpg 401w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022-500x374.jpg 500w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/03-2022.jpg 1069w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Marine litter is an ecological, economical and health problem that we must react to today, <strong>Maja Juri\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Maja Golem<\/strong> emphasized in the show in April. In a relaxed conversation with the show host Ton\u0107i, with numbers supported the impact of waste on the marine ecosystem and emphasized the importance of developing sustainable nautical tourism. You can also find out more about these events in the articles on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dugi otok trail &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wine &amp; Jazz Hvar &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These events are part of the national campaign to reduce single-use plastic pollution called &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/sunce-association-launches-a-national-campaign-to-reduce-pollution-with-disposable-plastic\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/sunce-association-launches-a-national-campaign-to-reduce-pollution-with-disposable-plastic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Together without plastic<\/a>&#8220;, supported by funds from <strong>Beyond Plastic Med<\/strong>, which is carried out as one of the activities of the &#8220;<strong>For Plastic Free Croatian Islands<\/strong>&#8221; project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recorded our last show in October, and the main topic of conversation was the <em>Interdisciplinary Conference on Priorities in Waste Management &#8211; Reduce, Reuse and Recycle<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/beyond-plastic-croatia-conference-was-held\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/news\/beyond-plastic-croatia-conference-was-held\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Beyond Plastic Croatia<\/a>, the first conference of its kind, which was held in Split in September. <strong>Tea Kuzmi\u010di\u0107-Rosandi\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Maja Golem <\/strong>revealed which presentations impressed them the most, if there were any arguments between the stakeholders and what our next activities are planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/1.jpg 1066w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The show <strong><em>Together without plastic<\/em><\/strong> on <strong><em>Radio Sunce<\/em><\/strong> was created as part of the campaign of the same name, which is carried out as one of the activities of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/for-plastic-free-croatian-islands\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sunce-st.org\/en\/projects\/for-plastic-free-croatian-islands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">For Plastic Free Croatian Islands project<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the recording of this show has come to an end, our collaboration with <strong>Radio Sunce<\/strong> continues already on <strong>October 20<\/strong>, when at 11 a.m. we start with a new show &#8211;
