In 2021, activities on the topic of marine waste intensified. In order to ensure continuity of evidence-based advocacy, data on marine litter collected during clean-up operations is processed. Monitoring of marine waste is carried out through the implementation of the Protocol for Organizing Clean-up Actions in the Marine Environment and Coastal area on the Territory of the Republic of Croatia, the Collection and Processing of Data of Marine Litter<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n A significant shift in the work of Sunce, and especially the Department of Environmental Law, is represented by the education on advocacy held as part of the SEAS project – Save the Ecosystems of the Adriatic Sea with Active Participation<\/a>, which provided us with a clearer light on the ways and effects of using legal and communication tools in advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Nature Conservation Programme Manager, Zrinka Jakl, pointed out that the year was marked by Sunce’s advocacy successes, mostly related to the adoption of two ordinances: amendments to the Ordinance on commercial fishing at sea with coastal trawl nets<\/em> and the Ordinance on the protection and preservation of the Tela\u0161\u0107ica Nature Park<\/em>. Also, after more than 20 years of advocacy, in which Sunce was also involved, ecological anchorages were placed in the Kornati National Park<\/strong><\/a>. The installation of these anchorages was accompanied by the campaign Become a Posidonia keeper<\/em><\/a>, carried out by the SASPAS<\/a><\/strong> project, aimed at boaters who come to NP Kornati. Intensive work was carried out in the implementation of consultation processes for the creation of eight management plans<\/a> for the areas of the Krka estuary, the island of Hvar, Maloston Bay, Pelje\u0161ac, Kor\u010dula, Snije\u017enica and Konavoski polje and Mljet, 21 workshops for stakeholders and 11 internal workshops were organized. A whole series of field research of the sea was carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n The Head of Department of Education and Information, Margita Radman, presented the progress made by the project Sustainable Student Companies in Croatian High Schools \u2013 Green Companies Promote Sustainable Entrepreneurial Thinking and Action of Young People in Croatia<\/a>, as well as the challenges and results of the education carried out within the framework of the LIFE Artina <\/a>project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2021, we successfully passed the complex process of awarding the Quality Mark of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs for the implementation of the European Solidarity Corps program for a period of seven years (2021 \u2013 2027) for the role of a leading organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finance Manager Samanta \u0160e\u0107er presented the financial part of the report and emphasized that Sunce’s total revenues increased by 14% compared to the previous year and amounted to HRK 4,341,466, which affected the share of economic activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the presentation of the Work Report<\/em>, Gabrijela Meduni\u0107-Orli\u0107<\/strong> presented changes to the Statute<\/em>, and a vote was taken on the adoption of the proposed Statute<\/em> and the Work Report<\/em> for 2021.
