“Improving knowledge and skills for the implementation of service-learning” is the name of the workshop held on Monday, June 17, organized by Association for Nature, Environment and Sustainable Development Sunce at the Faculty of Economics in Split as part of the project Practical-Active-Together-Interdisciplinary !! (PATI!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the workshop for teachers and lecturers was to increase knowledge about different education programs, participatory learning methods and methods aimed at increasing active participation as a basis for sustainable development, and the workshop leaders were Du\u0161ka Milinkovi\u0107 from the League for Addiction Prevention and Bojana \u0106ulum from the Department of Pedagogy of Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop on service-learning is intended for teachers of the Faculty of Philosophy in Split, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology and the Faculty of Law in Split – partners in the PATI! project, but also other interested lecturers and representatives of civil society organizations who would like to implement their own service-learning programs.<\/p>\n\n\n

Two-year project Practical-Active-Together-Interdisciplinary! – service-learning programs for the environment and sustainable development, began in March 2018. The overall goal is to raise awareness of the importance of acquiring and applying knowledge and skills, civic engagement and cross-sectoral cooperation for environmental protection and sustainable development. The intention of the PATI! project and the implementation of service-learning programs is to encourage the active participation of students and teachers in the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is funded under the Operational Program “Effective Human Resources” 2014-2020 European Social Fund and is co-financed by the Office for Cooperation with NGO’s of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total amount of the project is: HRK 1,272,288.34, with co-financing through the ESF amounting to HRK 1,025,450.89<\/p>\n\n\n
