At the Reef Festival in Komi\u017ea on the island of Vis, held in July 2021 as part of the Interreg IT-CRO<\/em><\/em>, ADRIREEF project<\/em>, we set up educational panels about coralligen at 10 points in the town center. With the help of educational panels, the children played the game “Search for Answers”, which revealed to them interesting facts that the ridges of the Adriatic hide.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our associates have transferred the exhibition to an online form through which you can now find out briefly, but most important facts about coralligen, its significance, role and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADRIREEF aims to examine the potentiality of reefs in the Adriatic Sea in order to strengthen the Blue Economy. The term \u201eblue economy\u201c refers to the sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of ocean ecosystem. Along with specific regulations and frequent monitoring, the project will therefore open concrete possibility to protect the environment and create new economic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is funded under the 2014 \u2013 2020 Interreg V-A, Italy \u2013 Croatia CBC Program and is co-financed by the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs, while the development agency RERA of the Split-Dalmatia County was in charge of organizing the ADRIAREEF festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
