Sunce is its members. Today we have the staff<\/a>, departments, projects<\/a> and strategic plans<\/a>, but it all started in 1998 with a gathering of individuals who had a common vision and voluntarily joined together to offer independent solutions for the protection of nature and the environment.<\/p>\n

Any legal capacity and legal persons who accepted the provisions of the\u00a0Statute\u00a0<\/strong>of the Association Sunce can become its member.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Since its establishment, Sunce had more than five hundred members of all ages, educations, and occupations. Everyone has had some personal reasons for joining. Some have been recognized in our\u00a0mission<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0vision<\/strong>; one wanted to actively participate in\u00a0environmental protection <\/strong>and nature conservation;<\/strong>\u00a0another goal was to solve the\u00a0environmental problem<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in the neighborhood, while others were motivated by our\u00a0results<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

No matter how different the reasons were for our members joining, one of them is certainly common:\u00a0everyone is keen to improve the attitude of society towards the environment and nature.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Members are\u00a0governing<\/strong>\u00a0organization, directly or through their elected representatives in the bodies of the association, in the manner prescribed by Statute.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Being a member of Sunce is to be a part of the story on the protection of nature and the environment in Croatia and the region, to understand that global initiatives are not a substitute for local action and accomplishment, and to accept that only their own actions, even if they are only on the level of supporting the work of an organization, do something good for the society to which we belong.<\/p>\n\n\n
