Sunce is a civil society organization (CSO) that operates under the NGO Act and the Statute. As such, it has no owner but belongs to all its members.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Assembly<\/strong>\u00a0is the highest governing body of the Association Sunce, and it is made up of all active\u00a0members<\/strong><\/a> of the Association who thus participate in the running of the organization. At the Assembly meetings, decisions are made about the members of the Executive Board and Supervisory Committee<\/span>, changes to the Statute<\/a>, the Strategic Plan<\/a>, financial<\/a> and work reports<\/a>, and other organizational and status changes in Sunce.<\/p>\n

The Supervisory Committee <\/span><\/strong>is the highest body that supervises the management and work of the Executive Board between two sessions of the Assembly. Members of the Supervisory Committee <\/span>are elected through a public tender.<\/p>\n

The members of the Supervisory Committee <\/span>for the period from April 15, 2024 to April 15, 2028 are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sr\u0111an Uljevi\u0107<\/strong>, Associate Professor at the American University of Central Asia (as of January 30, 2026; previously, until December 31, 2025, Andrijana Pari\u0107<\/strong>, M.S. soc. and Professor of Philosophy, Master of Local Development – Joint European Union Master in Transition Areas).<\/li>\n
  2. Marko Pe\u0107arevi\u0107,<\/strong> Master of Conservation Biology<\/li>\n
  3. Marija Nazli\u0107,\u00a0<\/strong>mag. educ. biol. et. chem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the work of the Supervisory Committee<\/span>, the Executive Director, Gabrijela Meduni\u0107-Orli\u0107, and the member of the Executive Board, Matea \u0160pika, selected as employee representatives, participate in the work of the Supervisory Committee <\/span>without decision-making rights.<\/p>\n

    The Executive Board<\/strong> manages Sunce in accordance with the law, the Statute and other internal acts, as well as the decisions of the Assembly and the advice of the Supervisory Committee<\/span>. It answers for the implementation of the Association’s mission and organizational development of the Association. The members of the Executive Board are the Head of Finance and the Executive Director, 2 employee representatives, 1 representative of the Head of organizational units.<\/p>\n

    The Executive Director<\/strong> is elected through a tender for a period of four years, and in its mandate it is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the decisions of the Executive Board, the coordination of the development of Sunce, through cooperation with the Executive Board and the Heads of Sunce organizational units.<\/p>\n

    The members of the Executive Board for the period from February 29, 2024 to February 29, 2028 are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    4. Margita Radman<\/strong>, M.S. Biology and Ecology, employee representative, Head of the Education and Information Department<\/li>\n
    5. M.Sc. Matea \u0160pika<\/strong>, mag.biol., employee representative, Head of the Department for Nature Protection replacement\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

      The work of the Executive Board is governed by the Executive Board Rules of Procedure<\/a> [Available in Croatian only]. Official Executive Board meetings take place at the Sunce office on the following dates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      April<\/strong> 13, 2026, at 10:00
      May<\/strong> 18, 2026, at 10:00
      June <\/strong>16, 2026, at 10:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Participation in Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Executive Board meetings are open to all employees, active members, and members of Sunce\u2019s Supervisory Committee, provided that they submit a prior written notice of attendance. Employees, active members, or Supervisory Committee members may propose additional agenda items or express interest in attending a meeting. Such proposals or attendance requests, with a brief explanation, should be sent to the Executive Board via email at izvrsniodbor@sunce-st.org<\/a>, no later than three working days before the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Employees and active members may attend the meeting as observers, without participating in the discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Employees and active members who have proposed an agenda item may participate in the part of the meeting specifically related to that agenda item, based on the interest expressed and accompanying rationale, but without voting rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
