Students learn citizenship

On April 5, 2016, at the Faculty of Economics, Split, a project of the Sunce “Students learn about civic engagement – socially useful learning in the protection of nature and the environment” was held in Split.

The workshop was attended by teachers from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Chemical Technology, the Faculty of Philosophy and the University Department of Marine Studies from the University of Split.

The workshop informed the project partners about the project activities as well as the content and goals of the study trip to Germany; which will be held in June this year.

The main interests of the faculties are defined and the core ideas of the Service-Learning program are presented, which will be carried out in cooperation between Sunce and the faculties.

As part of the workshop, participants were introduced to Sustainable Waste Management and Sustainable Tourism, focusing on the content of Student Service-Learning programs, and the Sunce‘s experience in carrying out similar educational activities was presented.

Project is implemented in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Umwelterziehung (DGU) – German institution, and is financed by the German Foundation Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).
