Increasing specific knowledge and available information about waste management, the use of single-use plastics and the degree of plastic pollution, and the creation of a legal framework within Nature Park Vransko jezero

Sunce, as part of the Plastic free zone project – “Lake without plastic”, financed by The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, will provide The service of increasing specific knowledge and available information on waste management, the use of single-use plastics and the level of plastic pollution in order to create a legal framework within NP Vransko jezero.

The purpose of the project is to equip public institutions with the necessary equipment for the purpose of limiting the use of single-use plastic products as well as removing waste plastic and other types of waste in protected areas of nature. Big role has informing, organizing promotional actions and education of the public, which includes residents of the surrounding area, employees of public institutions, visitors, restaurateurs, as well as other legal and physical entities who perform their services in nature protected areas, with an emphasis on limiting the use of single-use plastic products, the harmfulness of plastic in nature, and the possibility of reducing plastic in everyday use.

The service includes: 

– organization of a plastic-free public event as part of the “Luka i igare” fair

  – organization and implementation of 4 educational workshops for employees and stakeholders, as well as defining the document – The Decision on reducing the use of single-use plastic products

– graphic preparations for the production of information boards, posters and brochures on the restriction of the use of single-use plastics in the Nature Park Vransko lake
