As part of the Significant Landscape Cetina River Canyon Plastic Free Zone financed by The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, will provide The service of increasing specific knowledge and available information on waste management, the use of single-use plastics and the level of plastic pollution in order to create a legal framework within Cetina Canyon.
The purpose of the project is to equip public institutions with the necessary equipment for the purpose of limiting the use of single-use plastic products as well as removing plastic and other types of waste in protected areas of nature. Organizing promotional actions and education of the public have important role, which includes residents of the surrounding area, employees of public institutions, visitors, restaurateurs, as well as other legal and physical entities who perform their services in nature protected areas, with an emphasis on limiting the use of single-use plastic products, the harmfulness of plastic in nature, and the possibility of reducing plastic in everyday use.
The service includes:
– conducting an educational program for concessionaires of the protected area of the Cetina River Canyon with the aim of increasing specific knowledge and available information about waste management, the use of single-use plastics and the level of plastic pollution.
– creation of a legal framework for Public institution More and Krš for the adoption of the The Decision on reducing the use of single use plastic within the significant landscape of the Cetina River Canyon, the provisions of which will be incorporated into the Contracts of the Public Institution More and Krš with concessionaires in the area.
