The Green Phone is an open line for citizen calls related to the state of the environment. Calls to 072 123 456 from fixed telephone lines from Splitsko-dalmatinska and Dubrovačko-neretvanska counties are received by the Green Phone of the Sunce Association.

As it’s been past half-year 2013, it’s time to let you know about the Green Phone’s work in the first six months by tradition.

The green telephone received a total of 153 calls, of which 77 (50%) cases were resolved.

At the top of the ladder are calls related to waste issues. Thus, during the first half of the year, there were a total of 68 and 44%, and they were slightly up compared to the same period of 2012 when they were 55. Most of the queries related to selective waste collection showing positive changes in the collective consciousness of citizens for the principle of separate collection of waste, but also the fact that in the Split-Dalmatia County no basic preconditions for the disposal of selectively collected waste have been achieved.

Waste calls are followed by calls for illegal construction (17) and those related to traffic (11). Also, in the “Miscellaneous” section, we find a variety of questions related to the municipal problems of the city of Split (posters, graffiti, the appearance of the old city core …)

In this semester, there are more calls from the city of Split, 83. However, it is good to inform you that there are no calls outside of Split, which were altogether 70.
